Unleashing the Gaming Revolution: The Grand Inauguration of the MPL Tournament
MPL Tournament: The Maharashtra Cricket Board Association (MCA), has inaugurated a men’s T20 tournament under the Indian Cricket Board. This tournament is designed along the lines of the IPL tournament. All matches of this tournament will be played at The MCA International Stadium in Gahunje Pune. The live telecast of this tournament will be available on DD Sports and FanCode App.
Several internationally renowned players will participate in this tournament, including Kedar Jadhav, Rituraj Gaikwad, and Rahul Tripathi. The Maharashtra Cricket Association is providing a golden opportunity for young players to showcase their talent in this tournament.
During the player auction, many prominent business houses were invited to participate and purchase teams. A total of six teams are participating in this tournament, representing six cities of Maharashtra: Pune, Sambhajinagar, Nashik, Kolhapur, Solapur, and Ratnagiri. These six teams were bought for Rs 57.6 crores for a three-year period.
A total of 285 players were present during the auction, with each team required to select 16 players. Each team was given a budget of 2,000,000 rupees. All the players were divided into three groups, with the first group having a base price of 60,000, the second group with a base price of 40,000, and the third group with a base price of 30,000.
Each team had to sign their iconic player for the tournament. The iconic players for each team are as follows:

- Nashik: Rahul Tripathi
- Solapur: Vicky Ostwal
- Sambhajinagar: Rajvardhan Hangargekar
- Ratnagiri: Azim Kazi
- Kolhapur: Kedar Jadhav
The winning team of this tournament will receive an amount of ₹5,000,000, and the second-place team will be awarded ₹2,500,000 by the Maharashtra Cricket Association.
